I'm Henry Bacon, a designer in Chicago. I studied interaction design at California College of the Arts. My first job was at Fjord, designing interaction concepts, films and workshop kits for a financial-services client.

Since then I've made a product-vision film for Trulia, spent a year designing a market for Postscript, and spent two years at Sofar Ocean, where I was the only designer for most of my time there, across product, web and marketing. Now I'm the designer at a steel distributor and fabricator, on its counter software and shop drawings.

I started teaching myself design software at eleven. At thirteen, a friend and I built a site that taught kids to program in Flash, and it won a Best of the Web award in 2008.

These days I design and spec software that AI coding agents write, and I fix it when the people using it run into problems. I don't hand-write production code.
